My Pride and Joy

I think it's officially safe to say Gemma is pee trained. We haven't had an accident in over a week and she now just goes to the potty on her own if she has to pee. I no longer even have to ask her or get her to sit in it "guessing" that she might have to go. If she is naked-bummed, which she likes to be, then she goes and sits herself down. If she is wearing clothes, she simply tells me "pee" or "take it off!" then i take off her pants and underwear and she goes in the potty.

We are still working on the poop, but she is definitely coming along in this department. she is more comfortable pooping into "nothing" and won't hold it in anymore if i catch her at the right moment and sit her down. Hopefully she will soon learn to go herself on the potty or tell me, just like she does when she has to pee.

The next big challenge that awaits us is the peeing while we're out situation. Right now, Gemma is very comfortable using her potty, but she won't sit on her toilet seat adapter. I don't blame her though, because she is very small and can't even bend her knees over the seat. her legs go straight out, so when she pees, the pee will just go forward and all over. I am not sure whether i should just carry her potty everywhere we go or just buy a smaller version of it (which i've seen) for traveling purposes. Either way, i am thrilled and can't believe that in less than 3 weeks, she has mastered the art of peeing in the potty. I am so ridiculously proud.

Of course, she still wears a diaper at night, but when her bladder is so small, i don't expect her to hold in a pee for 12 hours that she sleeps. That day will come, but i won't be pushing it so hard.
